  11.                Many archivers are sent out in the self-extracing
  12.                format.  This is so that you can unpack the newer
  13.                version, since most are not upward compatable.
  14.                After chkup tests the files is changed back to a
  15.                self-extracting archive.  If the EXE does not extract
  16.                it is listed as a EXE and fails chkup.
